Solar Energy Collection (Daytime):

 

During the day, Edobo's high-efficiency solar panels capture sunlight and convert it into direct current (DC) electricity. The panels are strategically positioned to maximize sun exposure throughout the day.

 

Energy Storage:

 

The DC electricity generated by the solar panels is then stored in Edobo's high-cycle lithium batteries. A solar charge controller manages the charging process, preventing overcharging and ensuring the longevity of the battery.

 

Automatic Illumination (Nighttime):

 

As darkness falls, a light sensor (usually a photocell) detects the decrease in ambient light. This triggers the control system to automatically draw power from the batteries and illuminate the LED lights.

 

Intelligent Control:

 

Edobo solar street lights often incorporate intelligent control systems. These systems can:

Dimming: Reduce light output during periods of low activity to conserve energy and extend battery life.

Timing: Program specific on/off times or dimming schedules based on local needs.

Motion Sensing: Increase brightness when motion is detected, providing enhanced security.

Remote Monitoring: allow user to remote turn on/off light, set up lighting mode.

Motion-Activated Brightness (Sensor Technology):

 

Our integrated motion sensors detect the presence of pedestrians, cyclists, or vehicles in the vicinity of the light.

Upon detection, the light instantly ramps up to 100% power, providing bright, clear illumination for enhanced safety and visibility.

Once the motion is no longer detected for a set period (programmable), the light automatically dims back to its low-power standby mode, conserving energy.

Time-Based Brightness Control (Smart Controller):

Midnight Hours (e.g., 10 PM to Dawn): The light automatically dims to a lower power setting, reducing energy consumption when traffic and pedestrian activity is minimal.

Programmable Schedules: These time-based brightness levels are fully programmable to match specific local needs and energy saving goals. For example, the user can configure it to full power from 6pm-10pm, 50% power from 10pm-2am, 20% power from 2am-6am, etc.

How it Works Together

 

The motion-activated brightness and time-based brightness control work in tandem to provide intelligent and efficient lighting:

 

Scenario 1 (Busy Street, Early Evening): The time-based control sets the light to a higher power level. If someone approaches, the motion sensor triggers a temporary boost to 100% power.

 

Scenario 2 (Quiet Street, Midnight): The time-based control dims the light to a low-power setting. If someone approaches, the motion sensor still triggers a temporary boost to 100% power.

 

Scenario 3 (No Traffic): The light automatically operates in its programmed low-power mode, conserving energy.
